About Making Every Contact Count: Where are your opportunities?

This free event, in collaboration with Northumbria University, will provide an opportunity to explore Making Every Contact Count (MECC) through interactive sessions delivered by professionals showcasing their work whilst networking with others from across a diverse range of sectors. You will have the opportunity to hear from our keynotes and then attend four workshops based on your interests. Example workshops will include: • The Opportunity Effect: Empowering Staff to use MECC • Bringing a Health Equity Lens to Health Protection Response work • Father Inclusive Practice Strategy • Embedding a MECC approach within the Department for Work and Pensions • Lessons learned from research into MECC across multiple projects • Delivering MECC as part of University curriculum Lunch and refreshments will be provided so please let us know when booking a place if you have any special dietary requirements. Please note that some photography and filming will be taking place at the event.

Who Should Attend

This is aimed at anyone with an interest in health promotion, the MECC approach and population health. Those that would be encouraged to attend would include academics, researchers, practitioners, professionals, members of the public, voluntary and community sectors. The sessions will cover from policy to practice and development opportunities. Places will be limited due to the capacity and allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
